Donations for the Sailing centre phase 2

On May 1, 2015, FedNor announced it is investing $122,236 in Sail Parry Sound’s Phase 2 development!

In 2007, Sail Parry Sound completed its new three-acre facility, with a Boathouse and Boatyard, the William Beatty Wharf, a proper hand-launch ramp, and the Mast. Simultaneously the Rotary Sunset Trail was wrapped around the point in pink granite, and not long afterward the massive Optimist Club Beacon was installed.

Generous donations from the community, more than $170,000, qualified Sail Parry Sound for financial support from FedNor, from Northern Ontario Heritage Fund, from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, and the Town of Parry Sound.
Through the continued generosity of members and friends, private individuals, businesses and service clubs who believe in Sail Parry Sound’s goals, the donations of gardens, new equipment and new features have been added.

The second floor has been built inside the Boathouse, doubling the building’s square footage, adding a sail loft, a cafe and observation deck with a spectacular view of the Sound, and other amenities.
