SPLASH in the Sound!
July 7, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pmFree
Sail Parry Sound is thrilled to announce a few new exciting additions to our annual Splash in the Sound event which will take place on Saturday, July 7th from 10 am – 4 pm. We again will be offering dinghy sailing with our certified instructors and keel boat sailing with member boats which is a great way to experience sailing. New this year, Hatchett’s Rowing Centre will be joining us with their instructors showcasing Oar Boards. They are really easy for anyone to try out, whether you have rowed before or not. Also, renowned Kate’s Kart will be offering lunch items from the BBQ from 11:30 am – 1 pm.
Experience the finest freshwater sailing in the world! The Big Sound is unparalleled for sailing, with its dependable winds, long fetch, and magnificent natural scenery among the 30,000 Islands.
You will love the quiet, with crisp white sails against the sky, with the waves lapping the hull of the boat, the feel of the cool spray on your face, the warmth of the sun, and the distinctive deep blue of the Big Sound. On a perfect summer day on the water, every sense is alive to the wonder of sailing in the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve.
Sail Parry Sound is a proud Charter Member of the UNESCO Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve, and shares the values of protecting our water with low-impact recreation.
The not for profit community-based sailing club expanded its waterfront facility and services for the public and we look forward to welcoming you to enjoy them.
