Who:    Sailors registered in Bronze IV/CANSail 3 or higher and Sailing School Coaches

Fleets: 420s, Laser Radial, Laser, 29ers, Open Bic and Optis

Highlights for 2012

-      For our Sailing School Coaches…Chutes & Wires Coaching Clinic, a new CYA program focused on   skill development for trapeze and spinnakers. Coaches must register with both the BSC and Ontario Sailing for this clinic. See below for registration instructions.

-      For Everyone…Dinner & Movie at the Stockey Centre, South Channel Cottage BBQ and Old Town Beach Party

Our Elite Coaching Team

Ashley Lethbridge, BSC Head Coach. An NCCP Level 4 Coach, Ashley coaches at the national and international levels. She was Head Coach at the Buffalo Canoe Club for 6 years.

Graham Fraser is a Master Learning Facilitator, an NCCP Level 3 Coach with 18 years experience. Graham uses video feedback to take sailors to the next level.

Evan Lewis is an NCCP Level 3 Coach and competed in a laser with the Canadian Sailing team.

Murray McCullough is currently coaching the Ontario Sailing Team and draws on his experience racing 49ers on the Canadian Sailing Team.

Rob Fox is an Olympic Sailing Coach with 20 years experience and success working with Canadian athletes and coaches.

Sean Hewson is a valuable addition to our Elite Coach team. Sean is both Burlington Sail and Boating Club's Rear Commodore Sail Training and Bronte Harbour Yacht Club's Chair of the Sail School Committee. Sean will also be leading our Race Committee this year.

CANSail Chutes & Wires Instructor Module:

The Big Sound Challenge (BSC) will be hosting the CANSail Chutes & Wires Instructor Module. Coaches interested in participating in this clinic must register with both BSC and Ontario Sailing.

BSC Registration = $25.00

–        Mail these forms with your check for $25 to the address provided on the Chutes and Wires Registration.doc

OS Registration = $256.25

–        Log on to: www.ontariosailing.ca/application/index.php?action=instructor.courseList

–        Locate the course titled: CANSail Chutes & Wires Instructor Module (for Registered Coaches at Big Sound Challenge ONLY)

–        Review the pre-requisites, complete the registration process and pay your fees.

Note: Late Payment Fees of $20 per participant apply after June 1 2012. T-shirts and loot bags will be provided for late registrations on a best effort basis only.
